+ WORKSHOP FORMAT

Following an introduction, participants will film their tape with Carla Morris under audition conditions (with the whole group present). We have superb equipment for the best learning experience. Carla will give each participant notes allowing them the chance to do a second take. This will be followed by a short tea break and an informal Q&A.

Carla will send out a selection of scenes before the workshop. Please choose a scene that suits you best regardless of gender, age and ethnicity. Carla would like participants to be as familiar with text as possible.

Your scenes will be recorded with broadcast quality equipment. Upon request, you have the option to receive your footage after the session for no extra cost!

CARLA'S BIO

As Casting Director, Carla’s Screen credits include This Is The Night Mail and More Things In Heaven & Earth. Theatre credits include The Albatross 3 rd & Main (Park Theatre), Stone Face (Finborough Theatre), Moth (Hightide Festival /Bush Theatre), alongside various readings and workshops.

Carla has worked as a Casting Assistant for the past 5 years, working alongside various Casting Directors including Nadira Seecoomar and Dixie Chassay on several film and television projects. She currently works as an Associate for Kahleen Crawford Casting and is a probationary member of the CDG.

Prior to moving into casting full time, Carla spent two years at the Bush Theatre and worked for several years with Producer Lee Menzies on various West End and Touring Theatre Productions.
